KalmAid contains L-Tryptophan and L-theanine, which cross the blood brain barrier and affect the central nervous system. L-Tryptophan is a precursor for serontonin and increase serontonin levels. L-Theanine increases the activity of GABA, a neurotransmitter (i.e. natural messenger in the brain) that promotes relaxation and reduces anxiety.
